FUJITSU CASE STUDY - Hendersons Logistics - Supply Chain planning - Sydney & MelbourneFUJITSU

Fujitsu is a major supplier of air conditioning units for domestic and commercial applications throughout Australia. Henderson Logistics were engaged to assist in strategy development and engagement of service providers throughout the nation to establish best basis for distribution. The supply chain is complex. Demand is seasonal and differs by state due to climate. Units are imported from a number of sources and supply is related to installation.

Units arrive containerised and must be received, stored and delivered to the national market customer base. Hendersons developed the work specification for overland transport of these significant volumes and then conducted the tender process to engage contractors to carry out the requirements throughout the network. Specification included regional storage and coordination with installations. Hendersons also assisted in the transition to the upgrade arrangements.
